"Probiotics: What Are They? What Can They Do for You?" by: Elisabeth R. Evans, MSN, FNP-BC
IBDSF organizes several formal and informal Educational Symposia for patients, their families and community members. These present opportunities for those impacted by IBD or those interested in learning about the disease to attend free or low cost educational events. Each symposium focuses on unique topics and features presentations by IBD specialists including physicians, nurses and social workers. Please check our upcoming events calendar to save the date for future symposia. We frequently educate patients and their families about psychosocial issues such as successfully adapting to chronic disease or on the impact of illness on the individual and family.
Our Education and Recreation event shown below is a wonderful opportunity for patients and their families to spend the day having fun while learning about Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Those interested in being educated can do so with our expert panel of speakers and those interested in having fun can participate in crafts, sports and other family friendly activities.
